strongest me seniors

Keynote and Workshop That Empowers Seniors To Finish Strong and Start Stronger

Every senior’s journey is unique. They’ve had their own set of experiences and their own unique story. And while each senior has their own unique path after high school, there is one commonality that will connect them all.
Life will not happen the way they expect it to happen.

Strongest Me Seniors is a message and framework that will inspire and equip each senior with the mindset, emotion skills and behavior to grow through life’s disruptions and become the leader of their lives.

Why Strongest Me Seniors? Let Me Tell You A Story.

Ever since I was a small boy, I’ve always had a dream to play in the NFL.

And yes, I always knew making that dream come true was a long shot. Statistically speaking, only .03% of high school football players ever wear a NFL jersey and set foot on a NFL field.

that dream became even more of a stretch when I decided that

after high school, I was going to attend and play college football at the United States Military Academy. You see, I knew that when I went to West Point, that after graduation, I was going to be commissioned as an officer into the United States Army and I would have to serve a minimum of 5 years in the U.S. Army. While I knew my dream of playing in the NFL was over, I couldn’t give up the incredible opportunities that West Point would provide for me.

But then, the unimaginable happened.

My second year at West Point, I was performing really well on the football field and by the end of the season, I was the captain of the team and was nationally ranked as one of the top college football players in America.

And shortly after my stand out season, I was notified that the Department Of Defense (the Pentagon) created a new policy that stated if a cadet athlete was good enough and offered a professional contract in any sport, they would be able to pursue the sport while serving in an adjusted capacity.

and just like that my dream was alive again

So I worked as hard as I could and I trained myself physically and mentally, day after day, to prepare myself and to put myself in the best possible position to succeed. And, as my performance on the field continued to climb, people started to notice and shortly after I finished my collegiate career, I found myself at Radio City Music Hall in New York City for the 2008 NFL Draft.

the dream I worked so hard for, was now a reality.

Or, at least I thought.

Shortly after off-season ended and only a day before I was scheduled to sign my first NFL contract and start my first NFL training camp, I was notified that the policy that the Department of Defense signed into effect had been rescinded and I was to forfeit my dream and return back to Active Duty immediately.
